DPM reviews proposals to cut industry tariffs

January 17, 2025 (MLN): Proposals to reduce electricity tariffs for the industrial sector were reviewed in Islamabad, with a focus on supporting the industry, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.

Ishaq Dar reviewed the existing policies and reiterated the government’s resolve to extend support to the industrial sector.

He directed the concerned ministries to make all-out efforts to provide relief to the industrial consumers of electricity, according to the press release.

The meeting was attended by the Finance, Power, and Economic Affairs Ministers, the Minister of State for Power and Information Technology, and Federal Secretaries from the Ministries of Finance and Power.

Also present were the Chairman of FBR and other officials from relevant departments.
