Dow, S&P 500 end negative after dovish Fed decision

New York, March 20: Wall Street finished a volatile session mostly negative on Wednesday after a dovish Federal Reserve signaled it expects no interest rate hikes in 2019.

Shortly after the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 25,744.25, down 0.6 percent.

The broad-based S&P 500 dropped 0.3 percent to 2,824.21, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index edged up 0.1 percent to 7,728.97.
