Current Account deficit rises by 50 percent

According to the latest data releases, Current Account deficit during July to April rose by 50 percent. Furthermore, the deficit widened to $14.035 billion.

In contrast to that, Current Account deficit during the last fiscal year was $9.345 billion.

Of the total current account deficit, the figure in April 2018 amounted to $1.955 billion and $1.214 billion in March 2018.

In addition to that, Pakistan’s Total Forex Liquid Reserves have already fallen to 15 month lows reaching $17.067 billion. State Bank of Pakistan reserves during the period have also fallen to $10.798 billion.
