The market continues to stay placid and shed on Monday’s gains. The market has shed 431.41 points or a 0.86percent decline from yesterday’s session. The markets were unmoved as the activity was slower because of half day. The market was mostly in red as more than 64% of the KSE-100 listed companies were in negative.
MSCI led stocks were major losers except for ENGRO, as they took away a total of 152 points.
The session ended at a tally of 50162.81 points.
The net gainers during today’s session were; Abbot Laboratories ABOT 3.24%, Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited JLICL +3.63%, Exide Pakistan EXIDE+1.75%, Shifa International Hospitals SHFA +3.37% and Tandlianwala Sugar Mills TSML +4.27%.
The net decliners during the session were; Bata Pakistan BATA -4.70%, Wyeth Pakistan WYETH -2.60%, HinoPak Motors HINO -2.19%, Indus Motor Company Limited INDU -0.97% and Ismail Industries Limited ISIL -5.00%.
All Share Volume decreased by 60.22 Million to 208.57 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.74.51 Billion.
Total companies traded were 348 compared to 377 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 95 closed up, 231 closed down while 22 remained unchanged.
Total trades decreased by 23,162 to 58,670.
Value Traded decreased by 3.60 Billion to Rs.8.20 Billion
