The markets ended the session in positive after a continued closing in red. Index Turnover, Traded Value and Market Capitalization increased substantially in the day.

In corporate alerts today, Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited declared a DPS of Rs. 1.75, reported an EPS of 4.77 for the period ended June 30, 2017, also K-Electric released financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2016 and reported an EPS of 1.19 for the period.

Volumes were led by Engineering, Commercial Banks, Power, Oil & Gas OMC and Technology & Communications.

KSE-100 gained a total of 19.11 points during the day, closing on 45998.81 points. Index touched an intraday high of 46101.08 points whereas fell to a low of 45591.38 points.

Total companies traded in the session amounted to 386 against the yesterday’s last session’s tally of 384 companies. 243 closed positive and 130 closed negative, whereas 13 were unchanged.
