This is the fifth session since Index has closed positive, since Friday last week. KSE-100 added 135.30 points at the close. The index moved up by 0.29 percent, driven by MSCI led stocks.
MacPac Films closed with upper lock after company announced it has acquired Cast Polypropylene Film Plant (CPP) with a production capacity of 7,000 MT per year.
Gadoon Textile Mills (a subsidiary of Younus Broth Group) was in the limelight as it announced financial results with an EPS of PKR 28.79/share along with a DPS of PKR 5/share. Profit after Tax for the company increased by 195 percent.
Sector wise performance in KSE-All Share Index was led by Media, Electricity and Beverages averaged 4 percent.
Volumes were led by Technology & Communication, Commercial Banks, and Textile Composite and Engineering stocks in today’s session.
The indexed gained a total of 135.30 points during the day, closing on 47084.34 points. KSE-100 touched an intraday high of 47167.63 points whereas fell to a low of 46857.45 points.
