Chief Justice demands stronger regulation, support for private enterprises

June 24, 2023 (MLN): There is a need to support and encourage private business in the country, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Omar Ata Bandial, stated while addressing the symposium organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

He emphasized that business growth contributes to economic development.

"We need a better regulatory system, and It is necessary to maintain the dignity of commercial institutions" Chief Justice added.

NAB needs to take action against illegal housing schemes that do not have land.

He urged that making regulations easier for the public is essential.

There is a need to improve the competence of high court judges as the burden on the courts increases due to the non-existence of tribunals, and it needs to be reduced, he further added.
