CEO Reon discusses environment friendly energy solutions with Minister of Climate Change

October 12, 2018: CEO REON Energy Mr. Mujtaba Haider has stated that his company aims to work with Ministry of Climate Change in a public private partnership mode to change the renewable energy landscape in Pakistan, on Thursday 11th October.

Federal Minister and Advisor to PM on climate change Malik Amin Aslam Khan also stressed upon making efforts to harness energy with the least environmental impact.

Mr. Mujtaba Haider, while apprising the Minister Climate change regarding his company's profile, stated that Reon Energy Limited is one of the leading solar energy companies in Pakistan with technical and financial expertise to design, deploy and maintain operations.

He said that the company offers solar energy solutions of businesses, industrial units and other organizations to ensure flawless operations of the installed plants with strict observance of Health, Safety and Environment.

Moreover, he said that the company has also hosted many successful projects in the areas of telecom, health, education, agriculture and other labor intensive industries.

Malik Amin Aslam Khan said that Global warming in the recent years has severely affected the weather patterns resulting in floods, heat waves, droughts and much more.

The damaging effects of global warming are not only impacting lives and livelihood of people, but also costing the global economy billions of dollars, he said.

“Renewable energy technologies like Solar Projects can help us to mitigate the impending crisis and ministry of climate change has a special focus on it” he was quoted saying.

“We have to create awareness for adoption of environment friendly solutions amongst the masses because with depleting conventional energy resources globally, renewable energy is the only way to secure the future,” he added.  

Federal secretary climate change Shahrukh Nusrat and Addl Secretary Khurram Ali Agha were also present in the meeting.
