Centers for advanced studies to be established across country: Mukhtar

Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad on Thursday said that centers for advanced studies will be established across the country to tackle problems like food security, water and climate change.

In an interview, he said, “A project in this regard has already been launched in collaboration with SUN United Nation's network in Geneva.”

The Chairman HEC said, “Under the Prime Minister's education reform program, first phase of the establishment of university sub-campuses in all districts has been launched.”

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad said, “In line with 70th Independence Day celebrations first ever University Olympics are being organized this year. University students from across the country and globe will take part in the Olympics.
