August 15, 2024 (MLN): The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) approved 12 development projects worth Rs265 billion rupees on Tuesday, according to a news release published that day.
In the meeting, 7 projects worth Rs16bn were directly approved, while 5 projects valued at Rs249bn were sent to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for final approval.
The following are the details of the project that CDWP approved:
Rs2.9bn Cadet College project in Kharan.
Rs1.5bn Home Economics College project in Islamabad.
Rs9.9bn plan to establish Danish schools in Balochistan.
Rs35.7bn 84 MW hydropower project.
Rs29.9bn for two climate change projects, which were sent to ECNEC.
Rs122bn Green Pakistan project for the entire country.
Rs1.8bn plan for Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore.
Rs4.9bn project for CPEC industrial phase.
Rs4.1bn plan for 104 new apartments for Members of Parliament.
Rs29.2bn plan for Karachi Green Bus project.
Rs22.5bn 70 km highway project in Ziarat.
To note, the meeting of the party was also chaired by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr. Jahanzeb Khan.
