Car sales rise 18% in March 2025

April 10, 2025 (MLN): The sales of cars, including LCVs, vans, and jeeps, in Pakistan increased by 18.3% in March 2025, clocking in at 11,098 units compared to 9,381 units recorded in the same month of last year, the latest data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed today.

Conversely, on a month-on-month basis, auto sales have decreased by 8.2% compared to the 12,084 cars sold in February 2025.

Cumulatively, in 9MFY25, sales clocked in at 100,764 units, around 45.9% higher compared to 69,080 units sold in 9MFY24.

The data released by PAMA further showed that the maximum number of passenger car sales was made within the ‘1300cc and Above’ category at 4,485 units in March 2025.

Within this category, Toyota (Corolla & Yaris) recorded the highest sales at 2,378 units, followed by Honda Cars (Civic & City) with sales of 1,195 units, Suzuki Swift with 596 units, and Hyundai Elantra with 212 units.

The second-highest number of sales was made within the ‘Below 1000cc’ category at 3,451 units during the review month.

Suzuki Alto led sales with 3,090 units in this category, with the Suzuki Bolan following with 8 units.

Moreover, the '1000 cc' segment witnessed a sale of 194 units in March 2025.

In this category, Suzuki Cultus recorded the highest sales at 97 units, followed by Suzuki WagonR with sales of 97 units.
