Bestway Cement boosts production capacity with new Hattar Plant Line

February 17, 2023 (MLN): Bestway Cement Limited (PSX: BWCL), one of the leading cement manufacturers in Pakistan, has announced the completion of the construction and installation of a brownfield line at its Hattar Plant, the company in a notification sent to PSX revealed on Friday.

With this addition, the company is now capable of producing up to 12.6 million tonnes of cement annually.

This significant investment has added to the company's cement production capacity and is expected to meet the growing demand for cement in the country.

The Hattar Line-ll has a clinker capacity of 7,300 tonnes per day, making it one of the largest product lines in the region. The new line has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest quality of cement production, while also improving the efficiency and sustainability of the production process.

Bestway Cement Limited is known for its commitment to sustainability, and the new production line has been designed to meet the company's sustainability goals.

The new line incorporates advanced waste heat recovery systems, which will help reduce the plant's energy consumption and minimize its carbon footprint.

At the time of writing, the scrip of the company is being traded at Rs134.88, up by Rs1.74.
