BB Energy to supply affordable petroleum products to Pakistan

January 20, 2023 (MLN): BB Energy has expressed interest to develop a strategic business relationship to supply affordable petroleum products and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to Pakistan, a press release issued by Finance Division on Thursday showed.

A meeting was held between Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and a delegation of BB Energy headed by its Group CEO Mr. Mohamed Bassatne on Thursday.

During the meeting, FM welcomed the delegation and shared the country’s economic outlook.

“The present government inherited a weak economic legacy but is focusing on fixing things in the right direction and is introducing reforms in all sectors to achieve economic growth and development”, Dar said.

He further said that the country is destined for progress and development due to pragmatic measures taken by the government.

The FM appreciated Mr. Mohamed Bassatne for showing interest in expanding their business activities and investment in the energy sector in Pakistan to boost its energy supply line.

Also, he assured that the government will provide all kinds of support required by the company in order to expand it is business and investment in the country.

To note, BB Energy is founded in Lebanon in 1937, the group originally started as a grain and asphalt trading company before entering the oil industry in 1963.
