Bank Branches to observe extended Hours to facilitate tax & duties collection on Sep 30, 2020

September 29, 2020: All branches of the banks will observe extended banking hours till 8:00 P.M. on September 30, 2020 (Wednesday) to facilitate the collection of Government duties / taxes through their Over-the-Counter (OTC) facility.

Further, it has been decided that NIFT will arrange a special clearing at 5:00 P.M. on September 30, 2020 (Wednesday) to ensure the same day clearing & settlement of payment instruments. Accordingly, all banks shall keep their concerned branches open on September 30, 2020 (Wednesday) till such time that is necessary to facilitate the special clearing for Government transactions by NIFT.
