Aurangzeb commends provinces for agricultural tax laws

February 03, 2025 (MLN): The provincial governments have successfully passed legislation for the implementation of agricultural income tax, with Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, commending their efforts.

Minister Aurangzeb expressed gratitude to the provincial legislative assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan for enacting these laws.

He also thanked the Chief Ministers of all four provinces for their full cooperation in the legislative process, according to the press release.

Minister Aurangzeb welcomed the passage of the agricultural income tax laws, calling it a positive development.

He added that the new legislation would help expand the country’s tax base.
