All Legal Matters Relating To Privatization Of Power Plants Will Be Solved Promptly

February 6, 2020: Federal Minister Privatization Mohammedmian Soomro and Punjab Law Minister discussed legal matters relating to the privatization of power plants HaveliBahadarsh and Balloki today in Lahore. Additional Chief Secretary Punjab, Secretary Municipal Authority, Secretary Irrigation and DG LDA attended the meeting.

Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat was briefed about the privatization of RLNG based power plants HaveliBahadarshah1230MW and Balloki 1223MW. Punjab Law Minister told that all matters related to land conversion, relevant laws, and other legal complications regarding privatization of these power plants will be promptly resolved. Moreover, Federal Minister and Punjab Law Minister directed that the sub-committees to that effect be formulated to dispose of legal matters.

Mohammedmian Soomro visited LDA office Lahore and later National Power Parks Management Company NPPMCL.

Virtual Data Room (VBR) inaugurated by the Federal Minister Mohammadmian Soomro

Federal Minister for Privatization Muhammad Main Soomro inaugurated Virtual Data Room (VBR) at NPPMCL Headquarters in Lahore. VBR is designed by the National power Parks Management Company Limited (NPPMCL) to facilitate the investors. VBR is a one window platform which provides all the important information to the investors regarding Power Parks under the NPPMCL.

Federal Minister appreciated the efforts of NPPMCL and advised to incorporate rapid response system in the VDR. Federal Minister highlighted the importance of coordination between the different government entities for the facilitations of the investors.

“MARKHOR” as a Title name has been given to this VDR by the Federal Minister Mohammadmian Soomro. VBR will contain more than 78,000 important documents and 474 different specialized folders for the public facilitations.
