Zarea, Telenor Pakistan sign MoU to digitize, strengthen agricultural ecosystem

October 27, 2025 (MLN): Zarea Limited (PSX: ZAL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telenor Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited to collaborate across multiple domains of Pakistan’s agriculture sector.

This collaboration includes commodity trading, crop residue management, climate change, mandi rate dissemination, farmer engagement, and digital advisory services, the Company's filing on PSX revealed today. 

The partnership represents a major step toward Zarea’s vision of creating a digital ecosystem for Pakistan’s agricultural commodities supply chain.

By leveraging Telenor’s digital platforms and extensive outreach, the collaboration aims to promote sustainable farming practices, enhance market transparency, and expand income-generating opportunities for farmers nationwide.

According to the company, the MoU will also support national-level digital agriculture initiatives through expert advisories, research dissemination, and joint engagement activities.

This strategic collaboration underscores a shared commitment by both organizations to harness technology for advancing agricultural efficiency, sustainability, and rural development across Pakistan.
