SECP registers 2,257 new companies with in February

March 11, 2021: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered 2,257 new companies with an increase of 39% in February. After the new registration, the total number of companies has increased to 137,054.

Around 99% companies have registered online this month, out of which 30% registered in a single day, while 175 foreign investors registered companies from abroad.

The SECP has taken several steps to facilitate business, including consolidating company name reservations and incorporation, reducing fees, facilitating online payments, issuing digital certificates of registration and expediting company registration. Includes establishment of business center.
