SBP to announce monetary policy decision on June 16

June 12, 2025 (MLN): The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will meet on Monday, June 16, 2025 to decide about the monetary policy.

Later on, SBP will issue the monetary policy statement through a press release on the same day.

In the last MPC meeting held on May 6, 2025, the committee reduced the policy rate by 100 basis points to 11%, going against market expectations.

The decision followed a sharp decline in inflation, mainly due to lower administered electricity prices and continued easing in food inflation.
