SBP relieves 100% cash margin requirement on imports of certain items

March 11, 2021 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has relieved the 100 percent cash margin requirement on the import of certain items/raw materials to support the manufacturing and industrial sectors.

According to a circular issued on Thursday, the SBP has decided to waive the condition of 100 percent cash margin requirement on imports of 11 items/ HS Codes.

Cash margin requirement has been removed on a number of items including Carton, Boxes and Cases of corrugated paper or paperboard, Covers for the inner body of AC machines, Vacuum Pumps and other parts, Air Conditioning Machines, Evaporators, Condensers, Parts for hold Wash Machine, Electric Switch, Relays, Fuses, Other Dryers, and Sheath Contraceptives.
