President urges to improve the IT and Telecom sector

July 12, 2021: President Dr. Arif Alvi has stressed the need to further improve the communication system and information technology for rapid development of the country.

He was addressing an agreement signing ceremony between Universal Service Fund and PTCL in Karachi on Monday, to lay 700-kilometre Optical Fiber in Naushahro Feroze, Benazirabad and Khairpur for high-speed broadband services.

The President said IT education should be imparted to the youth who are real strength of the country and can play role in the development.

He said digital economy is flourishing around the world and a rapid work on it in Pakistan will open up more avenues for the country in coming days.
