June 25, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and the United States have expressed confidence in finalizing trade negotiations by next week, following a virtual meeting held, between Pakistan’s Finance Minister and United States Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

Both sides showed satisfaction with the ongoing negotiations on US reciprocal tariffs and resolved to conclude the trade talks in the coming days, as per the press release issued.

Additionally, it was agreed that a broader partnership, grounded in strategic and investment interests, would be finalized in due course, encompassing areas of mutual interest.

The discussion centered on meaningful engagement in trade, investment, and deepening economic ties that are mutually beneficial.

Technical-level trade-related discussions are expected to wrap up next week.
