Pakistan, Türkiye deepen strategic ties

October 30, 2025 (MLN): Expanding ties between Pakistan and Türkiye have entered a new era as both nations move toward enhanced economic, strategic, and defence cooperation, according to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad to mark Türkiye’s
National Day, the Prime Minister emphasized that the partnership between the
two brotherly countries continues to grow stronger, founded on “unwavering
solidarity, mutual trust, and shared aspirations.”
He highlighted that Pakistan and Türkiye are aligning their
efforts across key sectors to promote regional peace, technological
advancement, and economic development. “Today, Türkiye and Pakistan are
entering into economic, strategic, and defence cooperation,” the Prime Minister
remarked.
Recalling Türkiye’s steadfast support during Pakistan’s wars
and natural calamities, PM Shehbaz noted that the friendship between the two
nations has always stood the test of time. “During our recent war with India,
Türkiye stood by us like a solid rock this is what true brotherhood means,” he
stated.
He also referenced his recent meetings with Turkish
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, noting that both leaders reaffirmed their
shared vision of prosperity and partnership.
The Prime Minister lauded Türkiye as a symbol of modern
progress rooted in cultural heritage and expressed optimism that stronger trade
and defence linkages will unlock new opportunities for collaboration.
This growing cooperation marks another milestone in
Pakistan-Türkiye relations a partnership that continues to thrive on mutual
respect, faith, and a common vision for regional stability and prosperity.
