December 11, 2025 (MLN): Turkey has expressed firm interest in pursuing joint manufacturing and technology partnerships in Pakistan’s aviation, aerospace, drone technology and defence production sectors.
The development points to a possible expansion of high-tech
industrial cooperation between the two countries, according to the press release.
Senior Turkish industry representatives conveyed the
development during a visit to Islamabad, where they discussed opportunities to
establish production facilities, transfer technology and build supply-chain
capacity in Pakistan.
The interest spans aircraft manufacturing, aerospace
engineering, defence systems, automotive engineering and advanced materials sectors
where Türkiye has rapidly expanded its global footprint, with defence exports.
Turkish
companies are evaluating Pakistan as a strategic base for regional and global
markets including the Gulf, Africa, ASEAN and South Asia.
The move aligns with Pakistan’s efforts to deepen industrial
cooperation, leverage its engineering base, and attract investment into
dual-use manufacturing and mineral-based industries.
Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan shared ongoing government
initiatives such as the expansion of the Karachi Expo Centre and strengthened
coordination with the Ministry of Defence Production to support foreign
investors and technology-intensive sectors.
Both sides agreed to advance sector-specific follow-ups,
support B2B connections and explore investment-led industrial partnerships
aimed at boosting bilateral trade, manufacturing capacity and technology
exchange.
