Pakistan, Morocco poised to broaden cooperation across sectors

August 12, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan has reaffirmed its intent to deepen economic and diplomatic engagement with Morocco, emphasizing shared faith, values and mutual respect as the foundation of bilateral ties.

In a meeting with Moroccan Ambassador Mohamed Karmoune at Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Asif Ali Zardari said Islamabad remains committed to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

He expressed appreciation for Rabat’s support during Pakistan’s 2022 floods, calling it a testament to the strength of the relationship.

Zardari highlighted Morocco’s rapid economic development and strategic position in Africa noting the continent’s growth prospects in the coming years.

He said Morocco is well-positioned to drive regional prosperity and serve as a partner in boosting trade and investment links with Pakistan.
