Pakistan, Malaysia move toward Digital Policy Dialogue to boost cooperation

November 19, 2025 (MLN):  Pakistan and Malaysia have agreed to deepen collaboration in the digital sector, with the proposed Pakistan–Malaysia Digital Policy Dialogue forming the centerpiece of their renewed push for closer technological cooperation.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and Malaysia’s Minister of Communications, Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, on the sidelines of the World Telecommunication Development Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, as reported by Radio Pakistan.

Both officials praised the strong bilateral relationship and longstanding strategic ties between the two countries. Shaza Fatima noted that Pakistan’s digital vision aligns closely with Malaysia’s MyDigital Blueprint, with both nations striving to build modern, technology-driven economies.

She further highlighted the need for enhanced cooperation in talent mobility and advanced skills development, particularly in artificial intelligence, data science, and the Internet of Things.
