Pakistan, Lithuania sign Double Taxation Avoidance pact

September 24, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Lithuania
have signed the Convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of
Fiscal Evasion, a milestone both countries say will strengthen economic
cooperation and boost investor confidence.
The development was highlighted during a meeting between
Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Lithuania’s Acting Foreign
Minister Kestutis Budrys on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General
Assembly (UNGA) session in New York, said a press released issued today.
Both sides also agreed to explore cooperation in emerging
areas such as the digital economy and education, while stressing the need for
active business exchanges to enhance trade and investment ties.
