Pakistan, Kuwait agree to enhance collaboration in multiple sectors

September 24, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Kuwait reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly session in New York.

The Prime Minister conveyed his respects and good wishes for the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and recalled the historic fraternal ties between the two countries.

He thanked the Crown Prince for Kuwait’s solidarity following the recent floods in Pakistan.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s keen desire to further enhance cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, agriculture, livestock, manpower export and health.

He also noted that Pakistan looks forward to hosting the Kuwaiti Crown Prince for an official visit later this year, with dates being finalized through diplomatic channels.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including the Middle East situation.

The Crown Prince appreciated Pakistan's diplomatic efforts to highlight the plight of the Palestinian people and acknowledged its role in promoting peace in the region.

Both sides affirmed their resolve to work closely together bilaterally and at multilateral forums.
