October 20, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Indonesia have been urged
to enhance their bilateral economic and trade relations through greater
participation of the business community and regular exchange of trade
delegations between the two countries.
Ambassador of
Indonesia to Pakistan, Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo, said this while
addressing a “Gala Dinner” hosted by Chairman of International
Creative Exchange (ICE) Atta Ul Karim in honour of the visiting Pakistani
business delegation to the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025 at the
Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD.
The event was also
addressed by Trade Councillor of Pakistan Embassy in Jakarta, Naseem Rashid,
and Chairman of ICE, Atta Ul Karim, APP reported.
Ambassador Sukotjo
emphasized that the participation of Pakistan’s business community in TEI 2025
would play a key role in promoting economic cooperation and building stronger
trade relations between the two nations. He said that Pakistan is a major trading
ally of Indonesia and that long-standing economic ties need to be further
expanded in the future.
He added that the
people of Pakistan are hospitable and hardworking, and the friendship
established by the founders of both countries should be further strengthened
through people-to-people and business-to-business connections.
Trade Councillor Naseem Rashid noted that the trade potential between the two nations far exceeds the
current volume, and that the private sector, including ICE, can play a
crucial role in deepening bilateral economic relations.
Atta Ul Karim highlighted that increased participation in trade exhibitions and business delegations from both sides is essential to integrating the economies of Pakistan and Indonesia and unlocking their full potential.
