Pakistan, Bahrain strengthen ties as PM visits

November 26, 2025 (MLN): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Manama, marking a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening Pakistan-Bahrain relations and promoting strategic cooperation between the two nations.

At the airport, Prime Minister Sharif was warmly received by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and other senior members of the Bahraini leadership, according to Radio Pakistan.  

The visit will further strengthen the traditionally warm and cordial ties, open new avenues of cooperation, and deepen people-to-people contacts.

During his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with top Bahraini officials, including an audience with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Deputy Prime Minister Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

These discussions are expected to focus on expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, technology, and cultural exchanges.

Accompanying Prime Minister Sharif is a high-level Pakistani delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani, and senior government officials.

This visit is expected to reinforce Pakistan-Bahrain diplomatic and economic relations, further boosting bilateral trade, investment opportunities, and cultural partnerships between the two nations.
