On a cumulative basis, local manufacturing and assembly reached 27.6m units during 11M2025, registering a 3% decline year-on-year.

Of the total units produced during the period, smartphones accounted for 53% (14.51m units), while 2G handsets made up the remaining 47% (13.09m units), highlighting a balanced demand mix between smartphones and basic phones.

The PTA further reported that 88% of Pakistan’s mobile phone demand was met through local manufacturing and assembly during 11M2025, down from an average of 93% in 10M2025.

In terms of brand-wise performance, the top 10 locally assembled mobile phone brands during 11M2025 were led by Infinix with 3.47m units, followed by VGO Tel (3.07m units) and Vivo (2.57m units).

Other major contributors included Itel (2.20m units), Tecno (1.73m units), Samsung (1.57m units), Xiaomi (1.35m units), Q Mobile (1.06m units), Realme (1.00m units), and G’Five (0.92m units).

Overall, PTA data suggests that while Pakistan’s local mobile phone industry faces ongoing pressure on a cumulative year-on-year basis.

This indicates that the sector continues to deal with long-term challenges compared to previous years.

However, monthly production trends suggest that the industry is gradually stabilizing.

This improvement is being driven by a recovery in market demand and the continued growth of local handset manufacturing.
