September 09, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 156,563.52, showing an increase of 476.22 points or 0.31%.

The index traded in a range of 2,044.55 points showing an intraday high of 157,088.80 (+1,001.50) and a low of 155,044.25 (-1,043.05) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 480.31 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 32 closed up, 68 closed down, while 0 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were LOTCHEM (+6.19%), MARI (+3.24%), MEBL (+3.13%), ENGROH (+2.93%), and NBP (+2.42%).

On the other hand, top losers were NATF (-7.92%), JVDC (-6.36%), TPLRF1 (-4.36%), LCI (-2.67%), and PAEL (-2.64%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were ENGROH (+228.91pts), FFC (+203.18pts), MEBL (+186.31pts), MARI (+174.57pts), and EFERT (+93.16pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were NATF (-58.59pts), PSO (-51.11pts), HMB (-48.31pts), BAHL (-47.99pts), and HUBC (-40.40pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+291.80pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+218.21pts), Commercial Banks (+215.12pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+202.45pts), and Pharmaceuticals (+9.28pts).

While the index was let down by Food & Personal Care Products (-78.27pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-67.42pts), Cement (-55.10pts), Technology & Communication (-39.36pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (-38.19pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 95,202.76 with a net gain of 152.05 points or 0.16%.

Total market volume was 1,068.52 million shares compared to 1,126.27m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs55.19 billion showing a decrease of Rs7.11bn.

There were 482,204 trades reported in 478 companies with 154 closing up, 291 closing down, and 33 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 30,936 points or 24.63% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 41,437 points or 35.99% so far this calendar year.
