June 11, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index managed to close marginally higher on Thursday, ending the session at 169,703.60, up by 276.16 points or 0.16%, as gains in banking and exploration stocks offset pressure from fertilizer and power sector names amid mixed investor sentiment.
The index traded within a range of 1,455.93 points, reaching an intraday high of 170,138.18 (+710.74 points) and a low of 168,682.25 (-745.19 points).
Total traded volume in the KSE-100 Index stood at 186.64 million shares.
Out of the 100 index companies, 40 closed higher, 58 declined, while two remained unchanged, reflecting a cautious trading environment despite the benchmark's positive close.

Among the top gainers were TPLRF1 (+7.27%), HGFA (+4.00%), PSX (+2.00%), POL (+1.87%), and FFL (+1.64%). On the losing side, PGLC (-4.24%), ISL (-3.38%), AHCL (-2.18%), INIL (-2.02%), and YOUW (-2.00%) recorded notable declines.

In terms of index-point contribution, MEBL (+78.68pts), MARI (+60.02pts), ENGROH (+59.61pts), UBL (+58.83pts), and POL (+57.79pts) provided the biggest boost to the benchmark.
Meanwhile, FFC (-58.38pts), HUBC (-33.33pts), PPL (-32.53pts), EFERT (-25.42pts), and FATIMA (-18.61pts) weighed on the index.

Sector-wise, the market found support from Commercial Banks (+275.58pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+74.45pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+73.90pts), Cement (+46.27pts), and Real Estate Investment Trust (+28.30pts).
However, Fertilizer (-112.14pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-39.06pts), Automobile Assembler (-24.62pts), Engineering (-22.30pts), and Property (-15.44pts) limited the gains.

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 102,604.52, posting a gain of 153.59 points or 0.15%. Total market volume stood at 771.93 million shares, while traded value increased to Rs27.05 billion.
A total of 352,088 trades were reported across 487 companies, with 190 closing higher, 250 lower, and 47 remaining unchanged.
Investor sentiment remained mixed as global oil prices climbed after the United States carried out a fresh round of military strikes against Iran, raising concerns that tensions in the Middle East could persist and potentially disrupt global energy supplies for an extended period.
The rise in oil prices supported selected exploration and energy-related stocks but also kept broader market risk appetite in check.
At the same time, investors drew support from the release of the Pakistan Economic Survey FY2025-26, which showed the economy maintaining its recovery momentum despite a challenging global environment.
The survey reported GDP growth of 3.70% during the fiscal year, up from 3.18% in the previous year, helping underpin confidence in the country's economic outlook.
The combination of encouraging domestic economic indicators and geopolitical uncertainty resulted in a volatile session, with gains in banking and exploration stocks ultimately outweighing weakness in fertilizer and power sector shares, allowing the benchmark index to finish modestly in positive territory.
