PNSC subsidiary acquires 50,000-ton tanker vessel

October 22, 2025 (MLN): Quetta Shipping Company (Pvt) Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PSX: PNSC), has signed a Memorandum of Agreement to purchase an MR-II class tanker vessel named M.T. Stavanger Poseidon, according to a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The newly acquired vessel boasts a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of 50,000 tonnes, marking a strategic addition to PNSC’s fleet and reinforcing the corporation’s operational capacity in the global shipping market.

This acquisition aligns with PNSC’s ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet and enhance its cargo-handling capabilities, particularly in the liquid bulk segment.

The corporation continues to expand its presence in regional and international maritime trade, strengthening Pakistan’s footprint in global shipping routes.
