NCCPL to implement T+1 settlement cycle from February 2026

August 15, 2025 (MLN): The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has shared that it will officially transition to a T+1 settlement cycle for securities transactions starting February 9, 2026, which will mark a major milestone in capital market reforms.

The decision follows extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC), Securities Brokers, the Pakistan Stock Brokers Association (PSBA), Custodian and Professional Clearing Members, the Mutual Fund Association of Pakistan (MUFAP), and several foreign investors.

NCCPL stated that the transition plan addresses nearly all operational concerns raised during the consultation process, ensuring a smooth shift from the current T+2 settlement cycle.

The final operating model, a proposed Designated Time Schedule (DTS), and a comprehensive implementation roadmap have been shared with market participants.

“We appreciate the cooperation and commitment demonstrated by all stakeholders throughout the consultation process in achieving this milestone,” NCCPL said in its reveal.
