Kohinoor Energy Limited profit falls 55% in FY25

September 18, 2025 (MLN): Kohinoor Energy Limited (PSX: KOHE) shared its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2025 (FY25), posting a profit after tax of Rs723.9 million, down 54.8% from Rs1.6bn recorded in FY24.

As a result, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) dropped to Rs4.27, compared to Rs9.44 last year.

The company’s revenue declined sharply by 56.8% YoY to Rs4.33bn in FY25, against Rs10.01bn in FY24. Cost of sales also fell by 61.3% to Rs2.98bn. Consequently, gross profit stood at Rs1.35bn, down 41.4% YoY.

Administrative expenses dropped 30.3% YoY to Rs269m, while other expenses surged to Rs41m.

Operating profit contracted by 44% YoY to Rs1.08bn. Finance costs also rose 7.2% to Rs343m.

After accounting for a levy of Rs8.5m and taxation of Rs2.3m, Kohinoor Energy closed FY25 with a net profit of Rs724m, compared to Rs1.6bn last year.
