IHC suspends earlier ruling against TRG Pakistan

July 13, 2025 (MLN): In a significant development, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has suspended the operation of its earlier judgment in Writ Petition No. 2337 of 2025, providing interim relief to TRG Pakistan Limited (PSX: TRG) amid ongoing legal proceedings.

According to a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) under Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015 and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Rule Book, TRG Pakistan informed that it received a certified copy on July 12, 2025, of the order passed by the Honourable Islamabad High Court to an Intra-Court Appeal filed against the previous ruling.

The IHC, while taking cognizance of the matter, issued notices to the parties concerned and passed an interim order suspending the operation of the impugned judgment delivered in Writ Petition No. 2337 of 2025. The suspension will remain in effect till the next date of hearing.

This came on the heels of TRG’s earlier disclosure made on July 4, 2025, where it had apprised the market of the High Court’s ruling. The latest order offers the company temporary respite as the legal battle continues.

The matter remains sub-judice, and further developments will depend on the outcome of subsequent hearings.
