Govt backs agriculture, praises security, relief efforts

December 29, 2025 (MLN): The government is pursuing effective initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and prosperity of farmers, recognizing agriculture as a vital pillar of Pakistan’s economic development.

Addressing a ceremony in Narowal, it was highlighted that the agriculture sector plays a central role in ensuring food security, supporting livelihoods, and driving overall national growth.

The country’s economy was described as moving in a positive direction, driven by prudent and responsible economic policies implemented by the current administration, according to Radio Pakistan. 

The gathering was also told that Pakistan’s security forces are making unparalleled sacrifices in the ongoing fight against terrorism, with the nation’s defense firmly in capable hands.

Tribute was paid to relief workers for their tireless efforts in flood-hit areas, particularly for providing assistance and ensuring the safe evacuation of affected populations.
