Gold price drops by Rs700 per tola

April 20, 2021 (MLN): Precious yellow metal witnessed some selling on Tuesday due to higher US treasury yields amid global economic recovery. The gold price in the international market edged lower by $4 and was traded at $1773 per ounce while silver was valued at $25.92 an ounce.

On a similar note, the price of gold dropped in the domestic market. The price of 24 karat per tola gold decreased by Rs700 to Rs103,600 against its sale at Rs104,300 on the last trading day, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Group reported.

The price of 10-gram 24 karat gold also declined by Rs600 and was traded at Rs88,820 against its yesterday’s close of Rs89,420 whereas the price of 22 karat went down to Rs81,419 from Rs81,970.

Meanwhile, the price of per tola silver inched lower by Rs10 and was sold at Rs1350 against its sale at Rs1360 whereas the price of 10-gram silver was traded at Rs1157.40, down by Rs8.58.
