FBR clarifies regarding currency declaration requirement

September 12, 2022 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) yesterday, rebutted misleading information being shared in some sections of the press that Pakistan has recently imposed currency declaration requirements for passengers coming into Pakistan.

In a tweet, FBR’s spokesperson said that the above requirement is not new as the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issued a notification in this regard about 10 years ago and Pak Customs widened the scope in 2019.
