Dubai Chamber records strong H1 growth in foreign business registration

August 27, 2025 (MLN): A significant rise in new business registrations was recorded at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first half of 2025, with Indian entrepreneurs maintaining the lead among non-UAE members.

According to the chamber, 9,038 Indian-owned companies joined between January and June, reflecting a 14.9% year-on-year increase, as per APP reported.  

Pakistan followed in second place with 4,281 registrations, up 8.1% from the same period last year, while Egypt ranked third with 2,540 new companies, marking growth of 8.3%.

Bangladesh posted the sharpest rise, with memberships surging 37.5% to reach 1,541, placing it fourth on the list. The United Kingdom secured fifth place with 1,385 new companies, an 11.1% increase.

Syria came in sixth with 945 registrations, while China took seventh with 772 companies, representing 3.8% growth. Jordan followed in eighth place with 688 companies, up 2.4% year-on-year.

Turkey ranked ninth with 642 registrations, a 3.9% rise, and Canada completed the top ten with 535 new companies.

On the sectoral front, Wholesale and Retail Trade, together with Real Estate, Renting and Business Services, each accounted for 35% of new memberships.

Construction followed with 17.3%, while Transport, Storage and Communications, along with Social and Personal Services, contributed 7.6% each.
