October 27, 2025 (MLN): Cnergyico PK Limited has reported a significant improvement in its quarterly performance, slashing its net loss by more than half on the back of a turnaround in operating profitability and a notable reduction in finance costs.

For the three months ended September 30, 2025, the company recorded a loss after taxation (PAT) of Rs792.7 million, compared to a loss of Rs1.82 billion in the same period last year, reflecting a strong recovery in its operational efficiency.

The company’s Loss per Share (LPS) improved to Rs0.14 from Rs0.33 in the same quarter of 2024, reflecting a narrower loss base.

Cnergyico’s Gross Profit Margin surged to 1.18% in 2025, up from just 0.14% a year earlier, while the Net Loss Margin improved from −3.19% to −1.29%.

The marked improvement highlights better control over the cost of sales and a leaner financing structure.

Net revenue rose 7.9% YoY, reaching Rs61.61bn against Rs57.1bn in the same quarter last year.

Cost of sales climbed only 3.3% to Rs60.89bn, resulting in a Gross Profit of Rs724.6m, up sharply from Rs82.6m in the prior year.

The improvement reflects efficient cost management amid higher sales volumes and improved refining margins.

A major turnaround came at the operating level, where Cnergyico posted an Operating Profit of Rs123.1m, reversing a Rs595.2m Operating Loss reported last year, a swing of over Rs718m.

Despite higher administrative and distribution expenses, total operating expenses (including other income) slightly declined to Rs601.5 million in 2025 from Rs677.8 million in 2024.

Finance costs dropped 30.8% YoY to Rs836.1m, compared to Rs1.21bn in the corresponding period, further supporting the bottom-line recovery.

Cnergyico reported a Loss before taxation of Rs713m, substantially lower than Rs1.8bn last year.

After accounting for taxes, including minimum taxes of Rs359.4m and income tax recovery of Rs279.7m, the net loss stood at Rs792.7m.
