Aik partners with PTCL to boost secure cloud infrastructure for digital banking

October 01, 2025 (MLN): Aik, Pakistan’s first Islamic digital banking platform, has entered into a strategic partnership with Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) to enhance its infrastructure through PTCL Smart Cloud.

Through this collaboration, PTCL will provide secure and reliable cloud infrastructure, ensuring business continuity and resilience for Aik.

The initiative is part of BankIslami’s digital-first strategy aimed at delivering seamless, Shariah-compliant, and accessible digital financial services across the country.

The agreement was signed at Aik’s headquarters in Islamabad in the presence of key leaders, including Ashfaque Ahmed, Chief Officer Aik, Waqar Ul Hassan, CIO Aik Digital, and Asif Ahmad, Group Chief Business Solutions Officer, PTCL & Ufone 4G.

Ashfaque Ahmed said the partnership shows Aik’s commitment to expanding access to Islamic banking and building robust systems that meet the growing demand for Shariah-compliant financial services.

He added that the collaboration will simplify banking for customers while contributing to economic upliftment.

Asif Ahmad stated that PTCL is pleased to support Aik’s digital journey by providing secure and innovative cloud solutions.

He said PTCL is playing a key role in digitalisation efforts across Pakistan and continues to enable the corporate sector with advanced infrastructure to support economic growth.

This partnership marks a significant step in building a secure and scalable foundation for Aik’s digital banking ambitions, leveraging PTCL’s expertise in cloud services and long-standing telecom legacy.
