42% Pakistanis believe unemployment will increase in Pakistan in next 6 months: D&B

March 26, 2021 (MLN): Dun & Bradstreet Pakistan and Gallup Pakistan have issued a special press release on ‘Pakistan Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) for Q4 2020, as per which, 42% of Pakistanis believe unemployment will increase in Pakistan in the next 6 months.

As per the press release, a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “In your opinion, in the next 6 months, unemployment in Pakistan wilL?” In response to this question, 15% said ‘Will increase a lot’, 27% said ‘Will increase’, 13% said ‘Will remain the same,’ 25% said ‘Will decrease’ and 5% said ‘Will decrease a lot.’ 14% did not know/did not respond.

The aforementioned question was a part of Gallup Pakistan & D&B Consumer Confidence Index for Q—2020-21.
