August 04, 2025 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has officially launched a phased rollout of electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) for registered persons under the Sales Tax Act, 1990.

The notification outlines mandatory registration, testing, and issuance dates for various taxpayer categories, aiming to digitize documentation and enhance tax transparency.
