May 06, 2025 (MLN): Zarea Limited (PSX: ZAL) has entered into a landmark fertilizer distribution agreement with Azeems Group, the sole representative in Pakistan of Nutrien AgSolutions, which markets specialty fertilizers for Nutrien (Canada), the world’s largest retailer of agricultural inputs.
Azeems also represents Anglo American Crop Nutrients, a subsidiary of Anglo-American UK—one of the world’s largest mining companies—and the world’s largest aimed producer of Polyhalite, backed by an extensive agronomic research portfolio.
Under this agreement, Zarea becomes the exclusive digital commerce partner for Azeems’ full product portfolio, including sole distribution rights for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) region, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.
This strategic entry into the fertilizer segment enables Zarea’s expansion into Pakistan’s high-margin agri-inputs sector, positioning the company as a leading distributor of innovative fertilizers, bio-stimulants, and soil conditioners.
With exclusive digital distribution rights in KPK, a strategically important agricultural region with high fertilizer usage and unmet demand for scientifically advanced products, Zarea gains a significant market advantage.
Azeems’ exclusive ties with Nutrien and Anglo American bring cutting-edge international technologies to Zarea’s platform, supported by decades of global R&D and commercial validation.
The agreement includes a premium, high-impact product line such as the Mukammal Evolution series, which enhances phosphate efficiency, nitrogen retention, and microbial activity in soil and forms the basis for other products like Altura NST.
It also features Polyhalite and Polyhalite blends, ideal for sandy soils and long-duration crops, offering slow-release multi-nutrient benefits.
These include blends like PotashExtra, targeted for high-yield crops such as banana, maize, and sugarcane.
Additional offerings include foliar solutions, micronutrient complexes, and microbial inoculants that provide mid-crop nutrition and continuous sales, while improving nutrient absorption.
All products under this agreement are federally registered, tested across major Pakistani crops, and supported by research collaborations with top agricultural institutes and large commercial farms, including key sugar groups.
Zarea will leverage its platform’s reach and supply chain infrastructure to distribute Azeems’ product line through a digitally enabled, data-driven sales model.
This exclusive agreement marks a major milestone for Zarea and is expected to accelerate growth, improve margins, and drive long-term shareholder value.
