Yellow metal extends gains by Rs 100 to Rs 94,200 per tola

March 5, 2020 (MLN): Yellow metal was up on Thursday, but gains were small on the back of a rally in capital markets. The gold price rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 94,200 per tola in the local market. The valuable yellow metal had closed at Rs 94,100 per tola on previous trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold inched up Rs 86 to close at Rs 80,761.

On the other hand, the silver prices remained steady and closed at Rs 1000 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver remained stable at Rs 857.33.

In the global market, gold prices edged higher by $6 to $1,644 per ounce, while silver was valued at $17.22 per ounce.
