Weekly SCRA records Rs9.4bn sale

October 20, 2024 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended October 11, 2024 clocked in at Rs9.41bn, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs21.42bn recorded last week, according to State Bank of Pakistan data.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs43.05bn, which is around 23.71% lower than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs33.64bn, which is 56.79% lower than the prior week, resulting in a net sale of Rs9.41bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities decreased by Rs44.21bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs13.38bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs15.09bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs23.06bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs29.18bn, which marks a rise of Rs2.15bn over the week.
