Weekly SCRA records Rs21.4bn purchase

October 10, 2024 (MLN): The net purchase of securities for the week ended October 04, 2024 clocked in at Rs21.42bn, as compared to a net sale worth Rs19 million recorded last week, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan showed.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs56.43bn, which is around 9.23% higher than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs77.84bn, which is 50.74% higher than the prior week, resulting in a net purchase of Rs21.42bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs26.2bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs4.77bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs39.04bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs19.03bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs27.03bn, which marks a decline of Rs923m over the week.
