Weekly SCRA records net sales of Rs74.87mn

July 07, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs588.8 million, which is around 66.6% lower than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan today.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs513.9mn, which is 61.2% lower than the prior week.

Consequently, the net sale of securities for the week ended June 27, 2023, clocked in at Rs74.87mn, showing an improvement of Rs364.2mn over last week's numbers.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities declined by Rs809.99mn while the net sale of securities tumbled by Rs1.17bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs429.85mn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs235.57mn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs26.5bn, which marks a rise of Rs321.63mn over the week.
